I have decided that I will make another triumphant return to the Arkansas River for the summer of 2009. I was seriously considering Oregon, and some other Pac NW territories, I Love CO too much... I had a couple things to consider. In Co. i have put in my time, and have climbed the ladder of rank and rotation, I can make decent money in Co. and with the way the economy is sounding, this might be an advantage. Another HUGE reason is the Colorado Trail. This trail stretches from Denver to Durango for 483 miles. I have completed a handful of sections, but i have for some time wanted to through hike it. So, I will set out in mid August for 4-6 weeks on this endeavor. Finally, after getting stoked about running some big stuff here in CR, I realized i have a lot of unfinished buisness back in the centennial state. Commence operation Colorado Creeks in end of April and May '09.
I have been enjoying my time here in CR, and with a little less than 2 months to go, I cant help but to think of spring time in the rockies. Now, lets all just pray for some more snow in C O.
